東京を拠点に、ジャンルや国境を横断するクラブミュージックを発信し続けてきたレーベル ＜TREKKIE TRAX＞より、東京を拠点に活動するDJ／プロデューサー、Oyubi（オユビ）の最新作『Since I EP (シンス アイ イーピー)』を2026年3月13日（金）にリリースする。
ダンサーとしてのキャリアを経て、2017年よりアーティストとして本格的に活動を開始したOyubi。ジャズ、EDM、ダブステップ、ドラムンベース／ジャングルといった多様なジャンルを横断しながら自身の感覚を磨き上げ、現在はゲットーテック〜ジューク／フットワークを軸とした独自のスタイルを確立している。
国内外のレーベルから楽曲を発表し、欧米を中心に再評価が進むジューク／フットワークの潮流の中で世界的に注目を集める存在へと成長。ヨーロッパからアジア各国までツアーを重ねる一方で、地元・東京ローカルの現場にも深くコミットし続けている。現在はTREKKIE TRAXをはじめ複数レーベルからリリースを重ねるほか、盟友Fetusとともにレーベル＜Turing＞を主宰している。
本作『Since I EP』は、これまで様々なバリエーションの音楽を制作してきた中で培われた経験を、160 BPMというフォーマットに落とし込み再構築することをテーマに制作された作品である。昨年のツアーを通して体感した各地のフロアの熱量や風景、そして自身の過去の記憶や原体験。それらを現在の視点から再解釈し、ハイブリッドに融合させた。
リード曲「Since I (シンス アイ)」では、実家で日常的に流れていたジャズのレコードから受けた空気感や情景をモチーフに、現在の時間軸から記憶を再構築するようなアプローチを展開。どこか郷愁を漂わせながらも、160 BPMの躍動感の中へと昇華させた楽曲に仕上がっている。ノスタルジックな感触とスピード感が交錯する本楽曲は、EP全体の精神性を象徴する一曲だ。
2曲目の「begin da Test (ビギン ダ テスト)」では、無機質で人工的な存在感をヒントにボイスの質感を音のモチーフとして展開。ベースラインとドンクを軸に、タブやゲットーテックの要素を交差させる実験的なアプローチが試みられている。機械的なニュアンスと身体性が同居する構造は、クラブミュージックの新たな可能性を提示する。
3曲目の「Travelling Wind (トラベリング ウィンド)」は、ジューク / フットワークの名門レーベル＜TEKLIFE (テックライフ)＞の黄金期を想起させるアナログシンセのリードにインスパイアされ、逆再生されたエレクトリックピアノのニュアンスを重ねながら、現代的な160 BPMへと再構築。フットワークの持つ推進力を継承しつつ、現代のクラブやフェスティバルで機能するサウンドデザインへと昇華させている。
全体を通してドラムのアタックは強めに設計されており、クラブからフェスティバルまで幅広い空間で確実に機能するフロアユースを意識したプロダクションが貫かれている。過去と現在、ローカルとグローバル、身体性と実験性。その交差点に立ちながら、Oyubiは160 B PMというフォーマットを通して自身の音楽的軌跡を提示する。

Tokyo-based label TREKKIE TRAX will release Since I EP, the latest record from Tokyo DJ and producer Oyubi, on March 13, 2026.
Originally beginning his career as a dancer, Oyubi transitioned into production and DJing in 2017. Drawing influence from a wide range of styles—including jazz, EDM, dubstep and drum & bass/jungle—he has gradually shaped a sound rooted in ghetto tech and juke/footwork. With releases across multiple labels and international touring spanning Europe and Asia, Oyubi has emerged as a distinctive voice within the global resurgence of footwork and related club sounds. Alongside his solo work, he also co-runs the label Turing with fellow producer Fetus.
Since I EP sees Oyubi revisiting and reconstructing ideas developed throughout his career within the framework of 160 BPM. The record reflects the energy of dance floors encountered during his recent touring, alongside fragments of personal memories and formative influences, all reframed through a contemporary club lens.
The lead track, “Since I,” draws on the atmosphere of jazz records that were often played in Oyubi’s childhood home. Nostalgic textures and melodic fragments are reinterpreted within a driving 160 BPM structure, balancing emotional warmth with dancefloor momentum.
On “begin da Test,” synthetic vocal textures serve as a central sonic motif. Anchored by a heavy bassline and donk-driven groove, the track pushes into experimental territory, blending elements of ghetto tech and club-oriented rhythmic design.
Closing track “Travelling Wind” references the sound palette of TEKLIFE’s golden era, particularly its analog synth leads. Layering reversed electric piano textures with modern production techniques, the track channels footwork’s forward motion while adapting it for contemporary club and festival systems.
Across the EP, sharply defined drum programming ensures maximum physical impact on the dance floor. Moving between nostalgia and futurism, experimentation and functionality, Since I EP captures Oyubi’s evolving relationship with the 160 BPM format.
