2018年に愛知・名古屋のクラブシーンでDJとしてのキャリアをスタートさせたTIMERは、club MAGOやclub JBSといったローカルシーンを代表するクラブでのプレイを通じて、ハウスやテクノを軸とした確かな現場感覚を培ってきた。その後もイベントオーガナイズや海外アーティストのサポートなどを通じて活動の幅を広げ、クラブミュージックの現場に根ざした実践的な経験を積み重ねている。
2020年より本格的に楽曲制作を開始。＜Tokyo Community Radio＞主催のダンスミュージック育成プログラム「sessions」への参加や、EPIC Records Japanを母体とするプロジェクト＜Keep in Touch＞によるコンピレーション『Sounds of Summer』への参加を経て、着実にその評価を高めてきた。
2025年には、日本発のレーベル＜KOOL SWITCH WORKS＞よりデビューEPをリリース。ドラムマシンを基軸としたミニマルかつ力強いハウスグルーヴを提示し、研ぎ澄まされたリズムと中毒性の高いビートによって、クラブにおける機能性を追求したトラックで存在感を示している。
本作『Sea Wolf EP』は、これまでセルフリリースされてきた楽曲を基盤に、新曲を加えて再構築された作品である。断片的に発表されてきたトラック群を再配置することで、単なる再収録にとどまらず、TIMERの現在地を一つの流れとして提示する内容へと昇華されている。
サウンド面においては、有機的なボーカルサンプルとアナログな質感のドラムを軸に、ミニマルな構造の中でグルーヴを持続させるアプローチが全編を通して貫かれている。ハウスやテクノを基調としながらも、トライバルなパーカッションやリズム感覚を内包し、フロアにおける推進力と機能性を高いレベルで両立。ループの反復と微細な変化によって展開を生み出す設計は、ロングミックスを前提としたクラブプレイにおいて強い効果を発揮する。
また、本作のきっかけとなったのは、収録曲「Sea Wolf」をTREKKIE TRAX主宰のSeimeiがクラブでプレイしたことにある。現場でのリアクションを通じて楽曲のポテンシャルが再認識され、オフィシャルリリースへと繋がった経緯は、本作が持つ実践性を象徴している。
収録曲は、それぞれ異なる角度からフロアに作用するトラックで構成されている。タイトル曲「Sea Wolf (シーウルフ)」は、有機的なボーカルサンプルとトライバルな質感のドラムが反復し、ミニマルな構造の中で持続的なグルーヴを形成。「Obsidian Marble (オブシディアン マーブル)」では複数のボーカルフレーズと重厚なベースラインを軸に、よりエレクトロ的なアプローチを展開する。「Modo (マド)」はトライバルのニュアンスを取り入れた軽やかなハウストラックとして機能し、「Raven Drop (レイヴン ドロップス)」および「Banka (バンカ)」ではドラムマシンを基軸とした反復とグルーヴによって、よりダイレクトにフロアへ作用するトラックへと仕上げられている。
さらに、EPのラストにはSeimeiによる「Sea Wolf」のリミックスを収録。原曲の持つ有機的な要素を引き継ぎながら、よりストイックかつ鋭利なクラブトラックへと再構築されており、作品全体の締めくくりとして強い存在感を放っている。

TIMER began her career as a DJ in 2018 in Nagoya’s club scene, where she developed a strong sense of dancefloor dynamics through performances at key local venues such as club MAGO and club JBS. Since then, she has expanded her activities through event organization and supporting international artists, building a practice deeply rooted in real club environments.
She began producing music in earnest in 2020, participating in the dance music development program “sessions” organized by Tokyo Community Radio, as well as contributing to the compilation “Sounds of Summer” by Keep in Touch, a project backed by EPIC Records Japan. Through these experiences, she has steadily built her reputation as a producer.
In 2025, she released her debut EP on the Japan-based label KOOL SWITCH WORKS, presenting a minimal yet powerful house groove centered around drum machines. Defined by sharp rhythmic structures and addictive beats, her productions emphasize functionality within the club, establishing her presence on the dancefloor.
“Sea Wolf EP” reconstructs a selection of previously self-released tracks alongside new material. By reorganizing these tracks into a cohesive body of work, the EP goes beyond a simple compilation, offering a clear statement of TIMER’s current artistic direction.
Sonically, the EP is driven by organic vocal samples and analog-textured drums, maintaining a sustained groove within a minimal framework throughout. While rooted in house and techno, it incorporates tribal percussion and rhythmic sensibilities, achieving a high level of both drive and functionality on the dancefloor. Its design—built on repetition and subtle variation—proves especially effective in long-form DJ sets and club mixing contexts.
The release itself was sparked when TREKKIE TRAX founder Seimei played the track “Sea Wolf” in a club setting. The strong reaction on the dancefloor reaffirmed the track’s potential, ultimately leading to its official release—an origin story that reflects the EP’s deep connection to real-world club practice.

The title track “Sea Wolf” builds a sustained groove through looping organic vocal samples and tribal drum textures. “Obsidian Marble” develops a more electro-leaning approach, centered on layered vocal phrases and a heavy bassline. “Modo” functions as a lighter, tribal-infused house track, while “Raven Drop” and “Banka” lean further into direct, drum machine-driven repetition and groove, delivering immediate impact on the floor.
