大阪を拠点に活動する「DubGuy（ダブガイ）」の新作 EP「Cave Diving EP (ケイヴ ダイビング イーピー)」が、日本を代表するダンスミュージックレ ーベル＜TREKKIE TRAX＞より 2026年8月7日 (金) にリリースされた。

DubGuyは、Electro、UK Garage、Breakbeat を横断するサウンドで注目を集め、これまでに ＜85acid＞、＜TREKKIE TRAX＞、＜SPRAYBOX＞ などから作品を発表。Ben UFO、Objekt、Mor Elian、JIALING らダンスミュージック 最前線のアーティストからサポートを受けるほか、Rinse France 出演や、イギリスでの公演を経 て、国内外で活動の幅を広げている。

そんな DubGuyの最新作「Cave Diving EP」は、洞窟に潜り込んでいくような感覚をコンセプトに据えた一枚。
表題曲「Cave Diving (ケイヴ ダイビング)」が体現する、行く先の見えない分岐を進んでいくようなビートチェンジの展開と、 「Hydraulic (ハイドローリック)」に象徴される重圧感のあるグライドベースの質感が対をなし、潜るほどに深まっていく閉塞感と没入感を音で描き出している。ループしながら形を変え続ける表題曲と、 重心の低いベースで一気に沈み込む「Hydraulic」両者の対比が、洞窟の中で光と闇、 広がりと圧迫を交互に体感するような聴感を生み出している作品集となっている。

またイギリス・ブリストを拠点とし、ダンスミュージックレーベル＜No More Mailouts＞を主宰する「Sir Hiss (サー ヒス)」による「Cave Diving (Sir Hiss Remix) (ケイヴ ダイビング サー ヒス リミックス）」と、京都を拠点とし、　ダンスミュージックレーベル＜NC4K＞を主宰し、イギリスのラジオ局「Rinse FM」でのレジデントも務める「Stones Taro (ストーンズ タロー)」による「Cave Diving (Stones Taro Remix) (ケイヴ ダイビング ストーンズ タロウ リミックス）」も収録している。

Osaka-based DubGuy’s new EP, Cave Diving EP, was released via Japan’s leading dance music label TREKKIE TRAX on August 7, 2026 (Fri).

DubGuy has drawn attention for a sound that moves fluidly across Electro, UK Garage, and Breakbeat, releasing music through labels including 85acid, TREKKIE TRAX, and SPRAYBOX. He has earned support from artists at the forefront of dance music such as Ben UFO, Objekt, Mor Elian, and JIALING, and has expanded his reach both in Japan and abroad through a Rinse France appearance and shows in the UK.

DubGuy’s latest release, Cave Diving EP, is built around the sensation of descending into a cave. The title track “Cave Diving” embodies the feeling of pushing forward through unseen forks in the path via its shifting beat changes, while “Hydraulic” is defined by the weight of its gliding bass — together the two form a pair that captures the claustrophobia and immersion that deepen the further one descends. The looping, shape-shifting title track and “Hydraulic,” which sinks in one motion on its low-slung bass, come together as a collection whose contrast creates a listening experience that alternates between light and dark, expanse and pressure, as if moving through a cave.

The EP also includes “Cave Diving (Sir Hiss Remix),” from Bristol, UK-based Sir Hiss, who runs the dance music label No More Mailouts, and “Cave Diving (Stones Taro Remix),” from Kyoto-based Stones Taro, who runs the dance music label NC4K and also holds a residency on the UK radio station Rinse FM.
