64controllは、東京在住のzene（ゼネ）と大阪在住のU-koh（ユーコー）によって2017年に結成されたプロデューサーデュオである。JukeやFootworkに根ざしたアプローチを軸に、これまで数々のトラックを発表してきたほか、全国各地のナイトクラブにてDJとしても精力的な活動を展開。さらに、ポップデュオDaXxとのコラボレーション・プロジェクト「64DX」では、ジャンルを越境した実験的な試みによりシーン内外から高い評価を獲得した。
2025年4月には、TREKKIE TRAXからの初リリースとなるデビューEP「Bunbun Chopper EP」を発表。この作品がBen UFOによってヘビープレイされたことを契機に、国内外の著名DJやプロデューサーからのサポートを集め、一躍注目を浴びる存在へと躍進した。
今回リリースされた「Dic EP」は、前作で提示されたサウンドスタイルを継承しながらも、より洗練されたプロダクションと、独自性をさらに深掘りしたアプローチが随所に感じられる作品に仕上がっている。シカゴハウスやテックハウスなどを基調としながらも、64controllらしいユーモアと鋭さが交差する独特の音世界が展開されている。

64controll is a producer duo formed in 2017 by Tokyo-based zene and Osaka-based U-koh. Rooted in Juke and Footwork, they have released a steady stream of forward-thinking tracks while actively performing as DJs across nightclubs throughout Japan. Their collaborative project “64DX” with pop duo DaXx has also earned high acclaim both inside and outside the scene for its boundary-pushing, experimental approach.
In April 2025, they released their debut EP “Bunbun Chopper EP” on TREKKIE TRAX — their first appearance on the label. The record quickly gained traction after receiving heavy support from Ben UFO, drawing attention from prominent DJs and producers worldwide and marking 64controll as one of the most exciting new names to watch.
Their new release, “Dic EP,” continues the sonic direction established in the previous work, yet presents a noticeably more polished production and a deeper exploration of their distinct musical identity. While grounded in influences such as Chicago house and tech house, the EP showcases the duo’s characteristic intersection of sharpness and humor, forming a sound world uniquely their own.
The title track “Dic” draws heavily from hip-house and Chicago house, defined by a tight kick, nimble rhythm programming, and striking vocal samples. While it adheres to the classic house framework, 64controll’s signature sense of timing and bass design transform it into a club-ready weapon with unmistakable floor impact.
